| President and CEO Steve Nickerson is the founder of HomeRoute and its affiliated sites, which provide services to home buyers and sellers and real estate professionals. Nickerson started HomeRoute in 1996 when he saw a need for real estate agents to use the Internet more effectively. He transformed his idea into a multimillion dollar company that was featured as one of Inc. Magazine's Fastest Growing Companies in 2003. HomeRoute's sites include Relocate-America.com, Relocate-Canada.com, and Homes101.net. Before starting HomeRoute, Nickerson was a top-performing REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker and RE/MAX. A lifelong entrepreneur, he started his first business during high school. Nickerson is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Michigan Association of REALTORS® and Livingston Association of REALTORS®. He holds the designations of Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate Realtor Institute. Nickerson is a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization and is attending the Birthing of Giants entrepreneurial program at MIT. He also is the founding director of Christian Executive Outreach, or CEO. Nickerson lives in Brighton, Michigan, with his wife and three children and is active in his church and community. |
